JL Audio PV-FX8
Pavilion™ Outdoor In-Ceiling Speaker - 8.8-inch Coaxial (100 W, 4 ?) - White Trim Ring, Flush-Mount Grille
Pavilion™ in-ceiling speakers are engineered to deliver remarkable audio performance and durability in outdoor residential applications. Each model features a low-profile mounting bezel with an integrated tweeter bridge and a flush-mount grille for a discreet visual appearance.
For ease of installation, all Pavilion™ speakers utilize an innovative mounting system that permits a rock-solid installation in a wide range of ceiling materials. The fine mesh grille securely attaches with embedded magnets and is paintable to further blend in with your décor.
A monstrous, DMA-optimized, 8.8-inch long excursion woofer design ensures excellent power handling and a 1.25-inch (32 mm) pure silk dome tweeter, specially treated to withstand the harshest outdoor environments, delivers crystal-clear high-frequency sound, especially at higher volume levels. The bass is so impressive that the PV-FX8 can be used without a subwoofer while still packing a very serious low-frequency punch. Used with a subwoofer, it offers vastly better dynamics and mid-bass impact than smaller speakers, making it the best choice when ultimate performance is desired.
To make sure that the high-frequencies sound just as good as the bass, our engineers have designed an oversized, 1.25-inch (32 mm), silk dome tweeter for this model. This tweeter plays louder, cleaner and extends lower in frequency to better mate with the 8.8-inch woofer. A multi-order, true 2-way passive crossover is concealed within the woofer chassis, guarded against the elements. Also included, is an automatic, solid-state tweeter protection circuit to minimize the possibility of tweeter failure.
Although PV-FX8 Coaxial Speakers can be used with as little as 50 W per channel, for best audio performance we recommend amplifiers capable of between 100-200 W of continuous power per channel.
Production of all Pavilion™ loudspeakers takes place in JL Audio’s Miramar, Florida factory, using global components and materials.
